The price is suitable for the determination of selenium in water in mass concentration of 1 to 10 mcg/l. Through dilution or selecting a smaller sample volume, the application range can be extended to higher mass concentrations.
Selenium (IV) is reduced in muriatic acid medium by sodium tetrahydroborate to selenium dihybrid, SeH2. The compound is transferred and atomized with the aid of an inert gas in a heated quartz cell and atomized. Extinction is measured at a wavelength of 196.00 nm
